Out and About
Out and About is a great opportunity for school kids who are out of school on a weekday to learn about the world around them!
These fun programs are held on days Hastings Public School children are out of school. Open to grades K-6, Out and About takes place from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. The sign-up deadline is two days before each program and you must pay in advance to hold a spot for you child.
The cost of Out and About is $8 for Museum members and $10 for non-members. Just stop in or contact Visitor Services at at 402-461-4629, 800-508-4629 or visitorservices@hastingsmuseum.org.
Upcoming Out and About Programs
April 6, 9:30 -11:30 a.m. – The Great Outdoors
April is full of fun outdoor things to celebrate. It is National Frog Month and National Garden Month. We’ll explore up in the sky, under the leaves, and in the trees. There are gardens and bushes and grasses to investigate. You will probably work up an appetite honoring Jump Over Things Day, so we will also make sure to take part in National Jelly Bean Day and National Animal Cracker Day! Unless it rains, we’ll be outside most of the time, so dress appropriately.
