Following the Adams County FairFest Parade on Saturday, July 19, the Hastings Museum of Natural and Cultural History
is hosting a Chuckwagon Roundup from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Cowpokes of all ages are invited to come to the Museum and enjoy
a BBQ lunch and a corral full of activities.
The afternoon of rootin', tootin' fun begins with a BBQ lunch served at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Park, directly behind the Museum.
Cost for the BBQ lunch is $5.00 per person. Free roping lessons, wagon rides and kids games will also take place in Highland
Park and in the Museum's parking lot.
"A great way to start off your FairFest week is to come to the Hastings Museum and enjoy a BBQ lunch," said Becky Matticks,
Museum Director, "plus all the activities inside the museum with Dinosaurs Alive giant screen film, Hatching the Past exhibit and sky shows in the planetarium."
Museum membership or regular admission is required for some indoor
programs.
Tickets for the BBQ lunch are required. For more information or to purchase tickets, contact Visitor Services at 1-800-508-4629,
