March 25 – April 22, 2015

Art is an important part of any culture. It is also an important component in education. Art is a tool to learning about problem solving, making good judgments and appreciating different perspectives. The Council for Art Education recognizes the importance of art in education and celebrates young artists each March during Youth Art Month. In conjunction with this recognition, the museum will host the annual Hastings Public School Art Show in the East Gallery March 23 – April 22, 2015.

Hastings Public School art teachers at all grade levels select art created by their students for this exhibit. The pieces range from works on paper to pottery and weaving. These masterpieces remind us of the creative and talented youth that are in our community. The museum is honored to share their work with you. Please mark your calendar and come see what they can do. Museum hours are Tuesday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sundays 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
