With everything from the music of Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, the Beatles, Van Halen, AC/DC and Sting to Pink, N’Synch, 3 Doors Down, Aerosmith, Randy Travis and the Beach Boys, this year’s sensational laser light shows will have the Hastings Museum planetarium rocking October 27-30 and November 4-6. “While the planetarium typically features some great full dome movies and highlights of the night sky, this is the one time of year when we turn up the volume, kick back and really get to fully experience the music that so many of us enjoy,” said Becky Matticks, director of Hastings Museum. “Images drawn by lasers across the planetarium’s dome all in synch with the music is quite a show.”
Several family shows feature a medley of songs and artists including Laser Pop and Laser Magic or the uplifting and patriotic music of Laser Spirit. With Halloween following the first weekend, the family show Fright Light will prepare you for a night of zombies and monsters. Get ready for the upcoming holiday season with Laser Holidays, a mix of Christmas carols to get you in the spirit. Each evening ends with a run of classic rock.
This year’s laser light shows are sponsored by Rock 101.5 and 107.7 The Island.
Laser Light Shows are an annual event in the planetarium and serve as a major fundraiser to keep the planetarium going strong each year.
Tickets for members are just $5 for each show, while non-member tickets are $7.
