The Hastings Museum Foundation supports many activities and exhibits within the Museum. This time of year, the Foundation encourages those who support the Museum to join the Brooking Society Annual Giving Program, which is named in honor of the Museum’s founder, Albert Brooking.
Please read the letter from Rhonda Pauley, Foundation president, and consider supporting the Foundation today.
The Hastings Museum is a cultural, educational and entertainment landmark in our community. This AAM-accredited institution provides exhibits, planetarium shows, 3D films on the SuperScreen and educational programs to school groups and members of the public. While the Museum receives admission revenues and tax support, it is private donations that make the difference between good and great.
We are asking you to provide that additional support as a member of the Brooking Society Annual Giving Program. Donor support made these differences in 2012:
- A toothy Xiphactinus joined our Tylosaurus, and next year we will add a marine turtle and 3 ammonites (all designed by Gary Staab) to complete the Cretaceous Sea in the light well.
- The Kool-Aid exhibit, now 10 years old and viewed by over 350,000 visitors, received a major renovation and re-opened during Kool-Aid Days in August to rave reviews.
Please consider becoming a member of the Brooking Society Annual Giving Program. Pledges of $100 or more each year are recognized in the Foundation newsletter, and pledges of $250 or more are honored on the Brooking Society donor board inside the Museum.
Download and complete this card (.pdf) for categories and billing options, or telephone the Foundation at 402-463-6891.
Your support is critical to the continued excellence of this community asset. Thank you on behalf of the Hastings Museum…Life Up CIose.
