This year marks the 30th year area clubs and community groups have brightened the Museum with beautiful – and sometimes very creative – Christmas trees during Festival of Trees. It allows non-profit youth and adult clubs to showcase their organization with decorations reflecting the purpose of the club.
Each tree is distinctive, and who knows, you may get an idea for decorating your own tree!
“This is an excellent way for area clubs and community groups, as well as local area businesses, to show off what they do all year long,” said Museum curator Teresa Kreutzer-Hodson. “It is always fun to see the inventive ways the trees and wreaths can be decorated.”
Last year, nearly 60 groups, including Scouts, 4-H clubs, and other non-profit organizations participated in brightening the Museum.
For more details, please contact Teresa Kreutzer-Hodson at 402-461-2399 or collections@hastingsmuseum.org.
Trees and wreaths will be on display November 17 through January 1, 2013.
Mark your calendars and plan to visit the Museum during this year’s festival. It is sure to put you in the holiday spirit!
