With a variety of venues and up to 50,000 square feet of space, the Museum has something to please everyone. In addition to day and evening options, the Museum has hosted overnight events for several Scouting groups – and can host one for your group, too!

Birthday Party Packages
The birthday child and 9 friends can enjoy a Museum tour, activity sheets, planetarium show or a film in the theatre!
Birthday party packages are ideal for children ages 4-12. And the best part? We’ll take care of the cleanup!

Museum Rental
All three floors of the Museum are available for your function, including Wildlife Diorama Hall, Groundwater Discovery Adventure and Kool-Aid: Discover the Dream.
We have space for up to 600 guests for a strolling reception.
Looking for a seated dinner? Our east gallery accommodates up to 300 guests, while up to 100 guests are seated comfortably in the Wildlife Diorama Hall. Groups of up to 100 may also reserve the Abbot Room, which has a small kitchen.
Abbott Room Rental
This space is perfect for luncheons, meetings, classes and dinners. It seats up to 100 people and includes access to a small kitchen.
The Abbott Room is also a perfect staging area for caterers who service the east gallery or Wildlife Diorama Hall.
Theatre Rental
Your group is welcome to attend several public showings daily or book an exclusive showing of a film or movie of your choice from our current film library.
The theatre seats up to 211 guests plus wheelchairs.
Our digital projection system can easily tie into a computer for presentations, Internet access and more. This makes the theatre great place for group meetings before or after a reception or dinner!
Planetarium Rental
Your group can attend any of our daily public shows, which are included with Museum admission.
Note, however, that the Planetarium only seats 48 people plus wheelchairs, so larger groups may need to book a private show or multiple shows. Just contact Visitor Services for details.
Equipment
Hastings Museum has a sound system and microphone (the theatre has it’s own system), LCD and slide projectors, and DVD and VHS players with a monitor available for a nominal fee.
We have up to 15, 60-inch round and/or 17 banquet-style tables and 100 folding chairs available free with advance reservations.
Table coverings and other service ware are available for an additional fee or from the caterer of your choice.
