Cocktails with the Curators

| $15 – $20Enjoy drinks, snacks, and fun stories about our collection and exhibits. Meet our curators and get their behind-the-scenes secrets! Tickets to this 21+ event are just $15 plus tax for Members. Tickets for all others are $20. That includes admission and snacks. A cash bar will be available. Here’s a preview of what the evening will hold:
- Station 1: Get an inside look at how we clean our dioramas!
- Station 2: Enter an attempted-murder mystery story from the late 1800s in downtown Hastings.
- Intermission, enjoy our newest Tactile Exhibit & load up on snacks.
- Station 3: See artifacts from an Ingleside dentist and hear his story. (Let’s just say dental tools improved over the years.)
- Station 4: Learn how museums decide when, where, and why they’ll part with items. Sometimes animal specimens are just no longer useful to our collection, and occasionally we have to make room for new stuff. Learn the rules! (There are SO MANY rules)
