Eclipse Viewing
October 14 @ 10:00 am - 1:15 pm
| FREEJoin us for solar observing during the partial solar eclipse of Saturday, October 14 — weather permitting. From Hastings, we’ll be able to observe coverage of up to 65% of the sun at maximum eclipse. First contact is at 10:20 a.m. when the shadow of the Moon appears on the disk of the Sun. Maximum eclipse, when the Moon covers the most of the Sun’s disk, is at 11:40 a.m. Last contact, when the Moon fully exits the Sun, is 1:13 pm.
We have FREE solar viewing glasses for those who join us that day. They’re first come, first serve (50 pair for kids and 50 pair for adults). Bring your own lawn chair if you’d like to sit with us and enjoy the comradery. We’re looking forward to it.
