Buzz with bees and flutter with butterflies as these winged helpers race from flower to flower\, doing their magic to keep our world blooming. With colorful crafts\, playful games\, and outdoor adventures\, explore the exciting world of pollinators and discover how they help plants grow. Along the way\, learn simple ways to help keep our Earth happy and healthy. \n\nClasses are $60 for members and $70 for non-members. DESCRIPTION:BED TURNING: An American Quilt Show\n\nJoin us on June 6\, 2026\, for a traditional “Bed Turning” quilt presentation\, where multiple quilts are carefully stacked on a bed and revealed one at a time. As each quilt is turned and lifted for viewing\, the presenter will share its history\, construction techniques\, estimated date\, and the personal or cultural stories connected to the piece. Originating as a way for women to showcase their finest needlework to neighbors and communities\, bed turnings continue to offer a meaningful and engaging way to experience the beauty and heritage of handmade textiles. \nThis program will feature quilts from the Hastings Museum collections\, presented in an intimate\, storytelling format. A bed will serve as the focal point of the event\, with quilts layered and revealed sequentially so each piece can be appreciated individually along with its unique story. Get ready for an exciting afternoon of imagination and hands-on fun with building bricks at the Hastings Museum as they travel the world one brick at a time. \nThis interactive program features seven themed building stations\, each inspired by a different continent. At every stop\, participants will take on a creative building challenge focused on a well-known structure or idea from around the world. Once a build is completed\, young builders will receive a stamp in their event “passport” before moving on to the next destination\, just like real-life explorers! \nParticipants are encouraged to design\, build\, and problem-solve as they explore each station\, strengthening creativity\, teamwork\, and critical thinking along the way. Whether your child dreams of constructing fantastic creatures\, iconic landmarks\, faraway places\, or imaginative vehicles\, this open-ended experience brings ideas to life in a fun and welcoming environment. \nPerfect for young builders of all skill levels.
