The Hastings Museum Foundation, incorporated in 1985, makes a significant impact upon the life of the Hastings Museum by raising funds that assist in maintaining the existing facility, programs and exhibits, and helping it to achieve new goals for growth and expansion.
Hastings Museum makes our community a more culturally rich place to live and work by providing new and exciting opportunities for lifelong learning. Your support helps make this happen.
There are three primary ways to support the Museum: giving to the Brooking Society’s annual appeal, supporting our endowment or a special project through planned giving, and creating a memorial in recognition of a friend or family member.
Annual and legacy gifts to the Museum’s endowment are vital. They ensure the Museum will have an impact in Central Nebraska for years to come.

3 Ways to Give
You can contribute any amount to the Hastings Museum Foundation, but we encourage supporters to join the Brooking Society, named for the Museum’s founder, Albert Brooking. This annual giving program offers recognition opportunities within Foundation publications and in the Museum lobby.
Honoring a friend or loved one with a gift to the Museum is a personal, meaningful tribute. Examples currently in existence include memorials that provide scholarship funds for youth to attend Summer Fun classes free of charge, and for area second graders to see 3D movies—with no cost to their schools.
Memorials are flexible and can be tailored to reflect the values of the person being honored. All memorials must fund projects in line with the Museum’s stated mission and strategic goals. Are you interested in helping the Museum with its mission but would prefer to not part with your assets today? A simple, flexible, and versatile way to ensure the Museum can continue its work for years to come is a gift in your will or living trust, known as a charitable bequest. These gifts often support the Museum’s Endowment—a perfect way to help the Museum sustain its positive impact on the community well into the future.
Planned giving can include cash gifts, stocks, or securities. The Hastings Museum Foundation often partners with the Hastings Community Foundation to create custom bequests. This type of gift also entitles your estate to a federal estate tax charitable deduction. Call today to learn about planned giving options.
We also offer planned giving opportunities via the Hastings Community Foundation.
