    Nature Nook

Location: Main Floor

NatureNook140_doneExplore Nebraska’s environments up close: prairies, wetlands, rivers, agricultural habitats, and more! Real animal mounts. Custom murals. Interactive stations for the kids. And facts and fun around every corner. Experience an interactive journey through the natural environments of Nebraska. Visitors will explore prairie habitats up close, and investigate human impact on nature in both rural and agricultural settings.

A large replicated tree tunnel will welcome visitors to the Nature Nook. Inside, Albie the Squirrel will guide visitors through their expedition, giving hints of things to look for and places to go within the room. Kids will be able to pop up onto the prairie for an eye-to-eye experience with animals that hide in the tall grasses.

Many local and statewide partners joined us in our mission of educating families about Nebraska’s natural environments! We gratefully acknowledge those who contributed support to the Nature Nook.
