Matthew joined the staff in the spring of 2021. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in history from Hastings College, a Master’s degree in history from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and completed additional coursework at Oklahoma State University. He taught United States history classes at Oklahoma State and Tulsa Community College. His particular areas of interest are the American West, Great Plains, and Native American history. He has presented original research on these topics at numerous regional and national conferences. Matthew welcomes visitors at the front desk and assists in the coordination of school field trips and private bookings.
