The Hastings Museum is inviting the public to participate in a discussion focused on planning a new exhibit about the history and legacy of the Naval Ammunition Depot (NAD)

Join us on Sunday, March 29 at 2:00 pm for a Community Conversation focused on gathering feedback and ideas about what this future gallery could include.

As we begin early development of this exhibit, staff are seeking input to guide its direction, themes, and storytelling. The Naval Ammunition Depot played a significant role in Hastings’ history, influencing everything from wartime production efforts to everyday life. This event offers an opportunity for the public to share their thoughts and help shape the topics presented in the upcoming exhibit.

For those unable to attend, feedback forms will remain open through April, with both online and physical copies available.

This event is part of the Museum’s ongoing Community Conversation series, which gathers public input to guide institutional planning and development efforts. Individuals of all backgrounds and levels of NAD knowledge are encouraged to take part. These discussions and renovations support the Hastings Museum’s mission of sparking curiosity, inviting exploration, and telling the ongoing story of Central Nebraska.
