Born in rural southeast Nebraska, Harold Lloyd was one of the most influential film comedians of the silent era. Safety Last is often ranked among the top silent films ever made. It tells the story of a small-town boy (played by Harold Lloyd) leaving home and heading to the big city to find a job. As soon as he makes it big, his sweetheart will join him and marry him. His enthusiasm to get ahead leads to some interesting adventures.
