Dress for the weather, we’ll likely be going outside!
Wildlife in Winter: Where do the animals go when the weather turns cold? Do they stay, do they leave, do they sleep? In this program we will explore and learn about animal adaptations that help them survive in a harsh winter climate. We’ll discuss black squirrels; barred owls and Eastern and Western Screech owls; House Finches; polar bears; snowshoe hare; caribou; and lynx!
Wild Wonders is a nature-based family program that takes place every other month. Each program centers around a hands-on nature topic. This is a great opportunity for ages 5 and up, as well as adults, to learn and explore the natural world around us! Join us for activities, hikes, presenters and opportunities to get outside and enjoy the world around us.
Capacity: 40 people
