UPDATE: Construction has begun! The Museum has started removing concrete and regrading the front entrance to better move water away from the foundation and to prepare for the redesigned entry.

Take a look! A project we’ve been trying to add for a decade is finally getting its day in the sun: an outdoor classroom! We also plan to add sunshades, more seating, and a new walking path to better connect visitors to our outdoor exhibits. At the same time, the patio will be re-poured to divert water from the Museum and our fountain will receive some much needed upgrades.

This project has already received grants from the Adams County Visitors Bureau, the Walmart Foundation, and the Hastings Museum Foundation. In addition to that support, a lead gift of $10,000 has been made by Richard and Dianne Christensen. More support is needed for this plan to become reality.

We need your help!
